2014 PARTICIPANTS:

Instagram

Ben Weeks: Alone with Friends-A-Day
(Cambridge, MA)
I’m not really depressed, but I’ll be pretending to be for my fun-a-day project; it’s drawing series called ‘Alone with Friends’ in which I explore the void that digital media presents in physical space by drawing the face of 1 Facebook friend every day while I’m alone.

Beth Rausch: Monster Women-A-Day
(Jamaica Plain, MA)

Instagram

Birgit Wurster: Memo-A-Day

(Boston, MA)
A little drawing of desert flora or fauna every day.

Suzi Grossman: Pain Map-A-Day
(Medford, MA)
I have a chronic pain condition that causes me to have muscle pain on a daily basis. This might not sound “fun” exactly, but I do get joy out of creating art based on personal daily data collection. Having a pain condition is my daily reality and I might as well make art out of it! I have been working with this project for a while, but I think the next step is to commit to a month of daily records. Therefore, I will create a diagram of my shifting pain patterns every day of January 2014.
